Wine Enthusiast Magazine names Ashland / Southern Oregon one of Top 10 Wine Destinations in World
Ashland / Southern Oregon was named one of the 10 Best Wine Travel Destinations in World by Wine Enthusiast magazine in its February print edition and online, and Red Lily was one of the wineries specifically featured in the article. Red Lily won a Double Gold Medal and Best of Show honors for its 2013 Night School dessert wine at the recently concluded wine competition held as part of the 2015 Oregon Wine Experience. This was the first dessert wine ever produced by Red Lily and winemaker Rachael Martin, and only 150 cases of this wine were produced. Red Lily also won a Gold Medal for its signature white wine, the 2014 Stargazer Verdejo. A panel of five acclaimed wine professionals and writers (including two Masters of Wine) judged a total of 224 wines in the competition, awarding 21 gold medals and 6 double gold medals. Double gold denotes that all the judges on the panel were unanimous in their agreement as to the high quality of the wine. Congrats to our winemaker Rachael Martin!
In February 2015, Wine Press Northwest did a tasting of 81 Northwest tempranillos and all five of Red Lily’s current releases did very well. The 2012 Life of Riley earning a top rating of OUTSTANDING (only 18 wines received this rating), while our other four releases all earned an EXCELLENT rating. Click here for the judges notes.
2007 RESERVE Tempranillo Wins GOLD!
Red Lily’s 2007 RESERVE Tempranillo recently won a GOLD medal at the 2014 Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition. This competition is the only judging in the US in which the wines are nominated by the judges. The 2007 RESERVE is the first and only reserve wine ever produced by Red Lily. Sourced entirely from our estate vineyards in the Applegate Valley, the wine was aged two years in 100% new French oak and five years in bottle, which is consistent with the Gran Reserva designation used in Spain for its very best red wines.

Red Lily partners with The Freshwater Trust on riparian restoration project!
Red Lily is proud to announce that we have partnered with The Freshwater Trust, a non-profit organization based in Oregon (www.thefreshwatertrust.org), to undertake the riparian restoration of approximately ½ mile of the southern bank of the Applegate River located along our property. This site is being partially cleared and replanted with native trees and shrubs designed to enhance water quality, provide shade for fish and improve bank stability. This is an important project for the continued protection of our natural resources and one we wholeheartedly support.
